Quick Cards Sketch Challenge Issue 156

Hi there Crafty Friends, I have some news to share with you all, I had the opportunity to apply for Reader DT with Quick Cards Made Easy, I never managed for the bonus papers, but they did ask me if I would like to do their Sketch Challenge instead. Of course I jumped at the chance!! So here is my interpretation of their sketch ........
My Project
 The Sketch
Products Used
Quick Card Made Easy - Sketch Challenge
Crafter's Companion - Embossalicious Honeycomb Patchwork folder, Hexagon free download topper and papers for banners
Core'dinations - Whitewash Collection card
Bazzil Bling - Yellow card
Britannia - Rose Leaf die
Papermania - Flower Adhesive Ribbon borders and bow
Prima - Rose flowers
From My Stash - Gems, Green glitter paper and Bee embellishment

The hexagon shapes reminded me of honeycomb and bees on a Summer’s day, so I designed my card with this in mind. I started off with a 15x15cm card base. Mat and layered bazzil bling card with embossed core'dinations whitewash card, which I sanded to reveal the green colour underneath. Printed off hexagon topper and pretty summery pastel papers from Crafter's Companion. On the topper I printed sentiment too. I added the banners along with flower borders and gems. Instead of the smaller hexagon shapes, I decided to use rose flowers with die-cut leaves, then finished off with adding the little bee embellishment.

Sorry been AWOL

Hi Crafty Friends, Bloggers and Followers....sorry that I have been awol, have had a major problem with my 4 year old pc, had upgraded it to windows 10, a fortnight ago, it worked for about a week then after their latest update, it crashed :( ..... Had to buy docking station to retrieve all my files from my hard drive, well hubby and sons did!! Thankfully most were ok and now they have transferred everything on to a laptop, gosh you would think things would be straight forward, but there has been a lot of tweaking this and that to get it the way I'm used to!! Needless to say I'm back using windows 8, not going down that road again!!
