Crafty Catz New Challenge - Anything Goes or Twist of Use Die Cut or Punch

Hiya, my Blogging Buddies, Crafty Friends and Followers, hope you are all well! It's Friday again, so that means it's time for a new challenge over at Crafty Catz. I hope you come and join us this week, our theme as always is
'Anything Goes', 
but we have a fab twist to follow, if you fancy it, I'm sure you would, it's 
'Use Die Cuts or Punch
Now who doesn't love using die-cuts or punches!!

For this challenge the DT were free to use any of our own images, so for my DT inspiration, as it's close to Halloween, I chose to use the fab Trixxie Treat by Kenny K. Here is what I created, hope you like it!

So to create this, I die cut the oval shapes in black and orange card then layered together. The image I printed, coloured and carefully cut out, placing as shown. In my stash I had some wooden bunting, which I coloured Black, added 'BOO' peel-offs and organza ribbon. I decorated with flowers, web, spider and bat die cuts then finished by adding peel-off spiders.

Steampunk Collection New Release at Julia Spiri

Hiya Crafty Friends, Blogging Buddies and Followers, it's NEW RELEASE time again over at Julia Spiri . Julia has worked her magic again to produce this fantastic new 'Steampunk' collection...so without further ado let me introduce ...

From My Stash - Pearlised Backing Paper, Brown Pearl Sheen Card and Red Brad 

I first of all, created the background of cloud and ground effects on photoshop using elements from the Steampunk Clip Art and printed on to Pearlised sheen paper. This I matt and layered on burgandy mirror card. I die cut the tree from brown pearl sheen card, adding the cog and heart elements from the clip art to represent leaves and carved heart, along with gems and pearls too. The image, I printed, then coloured in these wonderful shades of browns and burgandy to complement the golds of the collection, finally carefully cutting out and placing as shown. To decorate, I added the leaves and  flower with clip art cog and brad in the centre. To finish off, I added the sentiment topper, made up from a layer of mirror card, clip art large cog and sentiment.

To make this I took an 8x8 scalloped card blank and die cut out the centre shape using Spellbinders labels 8 die. I created the background using distress inks, then added decorative labels 8 border of black glitter paper, placing black web netting and purple mirror card behind. The image I printed, carefully cut out, coloured and added glitter, then placed as shown. To decorate and finish off, I added flowers, ribbon, pumpkin topper, glitter paper web and bat die cuts, spider peel offs and gem

Anything Goes with a Twist of Embossing at Crafty Catz Challenge

For my DT inspiration I am using the cute little image 'Cup of Cocoa', which you can get here! Now who doesn't enjoy a lovely cup of cocoa or hot chocolate? Now with that in mind I had to include a couple of sachets in my creation...yummmmmm!! Here is what I came up with...very apt for this cute little image!

To make the Pocket
1. Cut a piece of card 12cm x 20cm
2. Score both long edges at 1cm and at 10cm down middle
3. Emboss one side, then tape or glue along both edges and stick together.
4. Decorate as required. I added ribbon border, with Christmas Tree topper and embossed die cut card.

For the card itself, I matt and layered glitter card with embossed purple pearl card, adding finished pocket at a jaunty angle. The image, I printed, coloured and carefully cut out and placed as shown, finishing off with felt snowflakes, gems and sentiment (printed using word) and layered on glitter card.

Julia Spiri with Kit and Clowder Event - 'Little Carmen' Freebie

 So, I decided to create this little fan card and here it is...

To create the fan, I embossed, red mirror card using the outside groove of fan, followed by grey patterned paper for the next inner groove. Carefully cut these out and layered together. Using black glitter card, I embossed the next layer, then created panels with the red silk card, adding black loop trim around them. You can just see the glitter card shinning through!. To decorate, I added paper rose flowers and glitter leaf die cuts. To finish off I added the black lace and tassel. For the image, I printed, coloured in coordinating colours and carefully cut out, placing as shown.

'All Tied Up' at Crafty Catz Weekly Challenge

Yay Crafty Friends, it's Friday and time again for another new weekly challenge over at Crafty Catz. Our theme as always is 'Anything Goes' but we have a twist and this time it's 'All Tied Up' Sponsoring us is the fab Crafty Ribbons, so we are using our own images. For my inspiration, I am using one of the Noel Christmas Ornaments clear stamps by JustRite and following our twist, using gorgeous glitter ribbon and bow....yes I've now made a start on my Christmas cards for this year!...lol Here is my creation...

Stamped the JustRite 'Noel Christmas Ornament' image on to plain white card with chocolate ink, die cut out using coordinating Spellbinders 'Heirloom Ornament' die then layered onto silver card also die cut out. On a 7x7 scalloped edged card blank, I matt and layered Trimcraft's 'Magic & Sparkle' papers onto silver card, along with glitter ribbon and bow. I placed the ornament stamp as shown with a piece of silver peel off. To decorate, I added the flower with die cut holly leaves and finished with glitter dots and gems.

Autumn Colours Twist at Crafty Addicts

Hiya, well it's the start of another new challenge over at Crafty Addicts. Our theme as always is 'Anything Goes' but we do have a twist and this fortnight, it's 'Autumn Colours', so why not give it a go!! Sponsoring us is the fab A Day For Daisies and for my DT inspiration,  I am using their gorgeous image Wind in my hair. Here is what I created...

To create this simple CAS card, on a 7x7 white card blank, I printed image, then embossed using leaf folder. I printed out another identical image, coloured and carefully cut out, placing on top of image printed on card and also carefully colouring the speckles round the edges. To decorate, I added die cut leaves, flowers and pearls then finished off with a sentiment topper that I printed on word doc and die cut out.

A Twist of Fold, Fold and More Folds at Crafty Catz!

Good Morning Crafty Friends, yes it's Friday and that means a couple of things, it's the start of the weekend and another new challenge over at Crafty Catz. Our theme as always is 'Anything Goes' but if you fancy something different, then why not try our twist of 'Fold, Fold and More Folds'. Sponsoring us this week is the fab Time For Tea Designs and for my inspiration, I am using the gorgeous image Hugging Couple. This is such a great versatile image, that can be used for various occassions, such as Weddings, Engagements, Valentines and in my case, for my project,  'Anniversary'!. Here is what I created, I hope you like it!

I created this by using an 8x8 white square card blank. I creased a line down the center of the card front and folded in half, creating a Z Fold Card. On the inside, I matt and layered gold card and floral paper, then contrasting stripe paper and gold card to the front. I die cut white card using grand decorative oval die, then embossed with delicate floral folder, added distress inks and gold gilt wax for a shabby chic look.  I printed, coloured and carefully cut out image, adding to oval topper, then placing on card as shown. To finish off I decorated with large 'Sweet Paris' flower, which I added a 'Little Birdie' flower on top, coloured with Promarker to compliment, paper leaves also from 'Sweet Paris' collection and die cut gold leaves.
